At this time of the year, the adults often bring in live (but not aggressive) prey to provide the chicks with the opportunity of making their first kill…but as you will see, not all went to plan!
Note also that I will be leaving the infra light off for the foreseeable future. There were still mosquitoes in the box yesterday evening, but I don’t want to contribute to the problem.
Note also that Indigo is definitely ready to fledge in terms of his ‘wingersizing’ and plumage. And his dealing with prey skills are improving…
