With the current week’s fluctuating, southern hemisphere Spring weather the best place for a peregrine to be is out of the weather and inside a comfortable, sheltered nesting box. Blustery winds and a dull, overcast day bode ill for sun over the next few days, and possibly more rain on its way, but current outside daily temperatures range between 12-16degC so it’s bearable. Mum’s taking good care of her three blobs and making the best of the conditions. No sign of dad for the last 2 days but it’s probably more just our monitoring timing.
Mum’s been happily eating all the pea gravel and readjusting her three charges to keep herself interested but it’s business as usual right now as the hopeful hatching day draws ever closer (approx 02-10Oct).
