Back in town and on deck meant a hands-on repair job could be done today. All servers and cameras are working 100% and we’ve concentrated on reconfiguring the network port which allows the streaming server to talk to the Internet, after adjustments were made to the main CSU data switch. We’re nearly there and should have results by mid-morning tomorrow after camera page testing. We’ll be uploading video clips tonight and tomorrow.
Again, apologies to all our viewers. Very frustrating delays but the current chick is doing very well and eating properly. Unfortunately the chances that the other egg will hatch now have almost disappeared but both adults are still doing their time keeping both the chick and the remaining egg warm. Straws are being drawn for who will enter the box, and when it is safest, to retrieve eggshell and clean the camera lenses. It takes plenty of time in waiting to ensure we don’t interrupt Swift as quite rightfully she’s a protective and formidable opponent in her eyrie!
