Diamond laid her first egg at about 0714 h this morning. Mother and egg are doing well.
Xavier has already greeted the egg and had a short incubation (serious incubation doesn’t usually start until there are at least two eggs). Here is his reaction to the new egg while bringing a starling for Diamond and perhaps for the egg, too (Xavier has been known to try and feed an egg!).
