Yesterday we had what I think was a strange female peregrine causing a kerfuffle around the tower. Here is a link to the video, which includes a description of what (I think) is happening. Probably not what Diamond needed the day before she laid her first egg.
And another video of Diamond’s early reaction to what was happening. It’s interesting that she didn’t make the usual ‘kek-kek-kek’ angry call, but an agitated ‘chup’, which was more like when she was expecting to bond. Is has been suggested that this was because the stranger might have been a juvenile, but I don’t know.
