Our little chick is becoming very curious and can be seen looking at shapes and blank walls in an exploratory frame of mind. Still shaky but quite happy to venture further forth now. This afternoon it decided to follow mum up on to the ledge and we waited with nervousness as it mounted the first step but fortunately mum busted it and came back to guide it back home. Lucky because it’s a very long way down and without wings it’s not an attractive prospect just yet. See the video here …
Lots of preening and staring at the walls with the odd annoying flying insect getting the eyeball too. Comparing Day 1 photos to today’s Day 10 photos shows dramatic growth and apparent very good health. Mum and baby are fond of each other, as they should be, and are providing plenty of “cute” moments for all!
