Yet more days of very dry mid-30’s temperatures, with little respite in the near future. The roost is proving itself to be a popular place to be able to avoid the extreme sun by being located on the south side of the tower. This afternoon has seen one of the young ones – Migii or last season’s yearling (who may well have returned recently) – using the ledge to recover, panting for air, wings out to cool in whatever there is of any breeze floating past the window.
Little chance of prey out on the wing during the day. Best to rest up until twilight….
