The two nestlings Barru (the smaller, probably a male) and Marri, are growing really fast and their tails and wing feathers are starting to show. Soon their down will shed and their juvenile plumage with come through.
The parents are now both hunting. Xavier is bringing in his usual fare of starlings, but also pigeon, parrots and large honeyeaters. Diamond has brought in a pigeon and a couple of rosellas. She usually avoids starlings, but will eat them if hungry and is happy to feed them to the nestlings as in this video (edited) from this morning where Barru takes off with the head, but is not sure what to do with it!
The starling was brought in whole by Xavier and he was trying to feed the little ones when Diamond arrives to take over and do it properly (ie pluck it first!).
