Cold day in Orange

The weather changed downwards in Orange today, with some rain and much colder temperatures. It makes the eyrie a very nice place to shelter. Swift has been pulling long hours in there, overnight and most of the day but Beau has swung in occasionally. Today for some reason he’s been quite curious and although Swift is hoping he’ll arrive with food the 4 or 5 times we’ve seen him today he’s arrived entirely empty-clawed, although he indeed took his turn sitting once.

You may have noticed the two new page links in the top menu bar. We’re currently testing out both cameras for video streaming performance. As times goes on the stability improves so enjoy the brand new vision! It a major milestone in FalconCam Project’s history and we’re continuing to test the most suitable heavy duty streaming technologies to take us onwards and tie us in with other future CSU streaming projects. We’ll keep you in touch with our progress.

  1. Thank you so much for the cams! Both cams worked well on the Mac OS X 10.6.8

Looking forward to a successful season. Sending my best to you Scott and your team.

    1. Hi all,
Thanks for your return comments, good to know everyone’s seeing what we see finally. Thanks Mick for the Mac o/s confirmation too; we hadn’t tested Macs yet! With some luck and good timing we’ll be able to see a little action when Swift decides to take a stretch and Beau returns with food. When we know the streams are steady we’ll arrange an official media launch.
      Cheers all, keep watching!
      Scott
