Indigo, now over five months old, is seen here displaying with his head in a low bow and using adult ‘chupping’ to Diamond (his mother), then showing a more aggressive posture, which causes Diamond to leave. Later you can see him ducking as a kestrel swoops by. This behaviour is not unusual or unnatural. It’s just part of growing up. We saw it with Izzi two years ago and with other youngsters before that. When the adults have had enough, they will block the entrance to prevent the juveniles landing. What is unusual is our ability to be able to watch this via a webcam!
