Spring days and monotony

With both cameras performing relatively well at the moment (apologies for any down time!) we’re getting good footage of Beau and Swift and their activities. Just noticed that over the last few days Swift has very subtly been moving the scrape further away from the nest camera and over towards the far/west wall. It means the eggs are now out of sight of the ledge camera but it’s probably a good thing for the nest camera as focus has improved!

Beau seems much more confident now to settle on all three eggs when Swift takes a break. Generally speaking her breaks last anywhere up to about 20 minutes, especially if there’s food waiting for her. Beau will either fly it up to the ledge for her to take away, or he’ll turn up making a racquet and Swift will fly down to the tree below. Beau will also drop in unexpectedly, with little fanfare or noise, before flying off again; almost as if he’s just checking things. Quite often when Swift hops up to take a break she walks very gingerly to the ledge, no doubt quite stiff from her hours on the eggs.

A slight adjustment by Swift

  1. Hmm it looks like your website ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll
just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying
your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to everything.
Do you have any tips and hints for rookie blog writers?
    I’d genuinely appreciate it.
