Girri is 40 days old today and is looking tall and strong and (almost) down free. The average age of nestlings to fledge at this site is 43..and females are often a day or two later than males, so I expect her to leave Wednesday to Friday.
I anticipate a strong fledge (first flight) and she could end up anywhere within a few hundred metres of the tower. If you see her, I would very much appreciate a call (0439 815 791) with her location to let me know she is safe. If she’s on a road or in a car park, please treat it as urgent.
